BankDhofar expands its presence in Dhahirah Governorate with the opening of a new branch at Wilayat Ibri

BankDhofar, a leading financial institution in the Sultanate of Oman - opened Al Murtafa branch in the Wilayat of Ibri in the Governorate of Al Dhahirah. This expansion is in line with the banks strategy of getting closer to its customers. 

The expansion process reflects the bank’s commitment to enhance in-country value addition. It has, time and again, affirmed its intent to partner with the government in bringing to fruition the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, while augmenting the Omanisation drive by offering employment opportunities to talented individuals.  The new branch in the Wilayat of Ibri, will provide specialized services to the SME sector. The Bank is offering specialized Al Rifaa preferred banking, Al Riadah priority banking services. The branch was officially opened by His Excellency Najib bin Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah, and in the presence of a number of bank officials.

As the second largest bank in the Sultanate of Oman by the number of branches, at a total of 124 branches, the bank also operates 360 ATMs, multi-use cash deposit machines, and multi-service interactive machines. Notably, customers can perform banking transactions via ATMs using just their mobile phone numbers, eliminating the need for a card.

BankDhofar is dedicated to implement digital enhancements through significant investments in technology based on customers evolving needs and ensure an enhanced user experience. Through its mobile banking application, customers can manage accounts, pay bills, transfer money, and invest in various financial products. The bank’s “Intilaaqah” application allows customers to open savings accounts without visiting a branch and provides instant transfers to any other bank in Oman instantly. The bank is also the first in the region to introduce Cash Recyclers enabling customers to withdraw up to 300 notes.

Additionally, BankDhofar has recently launched “Dhofar Pay,” enabling customers to make secure payments via smartphones without needing a direct debit card.
