BankDhofar crowned ‘Bank of the Year – Oman 2026’ at TAS Business Awards
BankDhofar has added another prestigious accolade to its growing collection of industry honours, winning the coveted ‘Bank of the Year – Oman 2026’ title at the TAS Oman Business Awards, underscoring its expanding market presence, customer-centric strategy and continuing investment in banking innovation.
The award was presented at the fifth edition of the TAS Oman Business Awards, held in Muscat recently under the patronage of HE Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, and attended by senior executives, entrepreneurs and representatives of Oman’s business community.
Organised by The Arabian Stories, the annual awards recognise excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership across Oman’s corporate landscape. The 2026 edition honoured 25 winners spanning a diverse range of sectors.
For BankDhofar, the Bank of the Year recognition adds to a succession of awards and accolades reflecting its progress in strengthening customer experience, expanding digital capabilities and developing products tailored to the increasingly diverse financial requirements of individuals and businesses.
A cornerstone of this strategy is the bank’s extensive physical presence. With more than 145 branches across Oman, BankDhofar operates one of the Sultanate’s largest banking networks, complemented by an expanding suite of digital services that enables customers to access banking solutions wherever they are.
Supporting entrepreneurship and SME development is another growing focus. Through its Numo SME proposition and dedicated SME Centres across key locations in Oman, BankDhofar provides businesses with specialised relationship management and banking solutions designed around their growth requirements.
Digital transformation has progressed in parallel. The bank’s expanding digital ecosystem encompasses mobile and online banking, digital onboarding, advanced payment solutions and services designed to make everyday banking faster and more seamless.
Its innovation drive has also extended to financial inclusion. In 2026, BankDhofar introduced a Braille debit card, enhancing banking accessibility for visually impaired customers.
The TAS recognition comes amid wider acknowledgement of BankDhofar’s performance. During 2026, the bank has also been recognised for excellence in customer experience and workplace culture, further strengthening its standing within Oman’s financial services sector.
Collectively, these achievements position the ‘Bank of the Year – Oman 2026’ award as recognition not simply of scale, but of BankDhofar’s broader transformation into a more digital, inclusive and customer-focused banking institution.
