BankDhofar was awarded the Excellence in Digital Transformation in Financial Services Award 2026 at the Muscat Daily Cyber Security & Cloud Conference and Awards, recently held in Muscat, in recognition of its continuous efforts to enhance its digital banking services and adopt the latest technologies and innovative solutions that improve customer experience and increase operational efficiency.

This achievement reflects the successful execution of the bank’s digital strategy through the launch of a range of advanced digital services and platforms that keep pace with developments in the banking sector and meet the evolving needs of both individual and corporate customers, further reinforcing BankDhofar’s position as a leading institution in digital transformation within the Sultanate of Oman.

Mohammed Ali Al Mahruqi, Head of IT Security Technology Infrastructure at BankDhofar, participated as a speaker alongside a distinguished group of experts and specialists from the banking, cybersecurity, and technology sectors in a panel discussion titled “FinTech Security, Fraud Prevention and Digital Trust.”

The session explored the growing challenges associated with protecting digital financial services amid the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence, instant payment systems, and digital banking platforms. Speakers also discussed strategies for enhancing cyber resilience and maintaining customer trust as financial institutions accelerate their digital transformation initiatives and embrace emerging technologies.
